Hammerhead - Warm Up Party @ The Back Room Brisbane - 10th July 2015

This weekend you would have found us at The Back Room Brisbane in support of the highly anticipated Dead of Winter Festival at The Jubilee Hotel on 25th July.  Friday night was a lead up to the main event and we were excited to check out the legendary Dreamkillers.  As it turned out we conveniently won tickets to the gig through our new friends Hammerhead. \m/

Hammerhead are a four piece with members living states apart, but it seems they manage the separation just fine.  After finding out that they had been together since 2004, we were confident that they made it work regardless and wondered whether they met half way for band practice?

The boys performance was tight with guitarist Ryan carving though some killer riffs and driving guitar solos with seemingly nil to little effort.  The vocals from both the front man and the bass guitarist were equally impressive and the overall sexy glam rock of the 80's was the vibe, with a modern twist.  The boys were particularly enjoyable to photograph for that reason.  It's no wonder that they scored the Brisbane support for Mötley Crüe's last ever tour, Hammerhead are the business and shouldn't be missed live.
